Day 4 of Dukan Diet

And i’m still eating only meat, yogurt and cottage cheese. It’s going well.

Dukan Diet

I’m on day 3 of the Dukan Diet and doing pretty well.  I also restarted the C25K program.  I’m craving carbs like crazy, though. I have some strawberries in the fridge that I want to devour…ugh.  I can’t wait until WIW! I’ll let you all know how it goes.  Anyone try this diet before and loose pounds?

I just stumbled upon your blog and I totally enjoyed reading it. Also, finally someone close to my age. I'm turning 35 this year and I'm 5.0 ft tall (or short). I love your photos and I admire your determination. You're amazing! :)

Hey! I thought about you because I am shooting my first wedding this weekend! Then I realized I haven't seen you on here in a few days. How is everything going?

Where Have I Been?

Ok, so my March pretty much sucked.  I got caught in the work-mom-wife mode and forgot about my health again.  I think I’m stuck in a pattern of putting myself on the back burner whenever things get too overwhelming.  I just weighed myself and I’m up to 176.  Thank the Lord that I haven’t gained everything back.  I haven’t been counting my calories or exercising at all. 

Enough.

It’s back on.

I’m starting 30 day shred tomorrow.  I’ve been using the weather as an excuse to not workout.  How stupid of me. 

I’ve got 9 more months of 2011 and I’m going to use ALL of them to get healthy.

No more games.

No more excuses.

This is war.

WIW Week 8

Ok, so I didn’t loose anything this week but that’s ok.  I had a really difficult week and it snowed so I had to stay in.

Update on the Dream Center:

It was really great but hard.  I was a victim of child abuse so being around other abuse victims was extreemly difficult.  I have helped others in the past but they have always come to me. To go to them was a step out of my box. I almost feel as though I regressed in my own battle a little.  Boo to scars even though they help other people.

I also volunteered at a senior center this week which was hard since I lost my grandmother about a year ago. Yeah, open wounds there too.  I loved meeting the older people though and am probably going to be visiting them weekly.  They play Skip-bo which I love!

So, a pretty hard week but good. I’m off to hike with the crazy lady again. I’m probably going to die.

Hiking

I went hiking with a friend of mine yesterday for 2hours and burned 1127 calories. Dang, that woman is a beast. Now I know why she looks so good at 40! I want to be like her when I grow up!  She did trick me, though, by saying that we were going on a walk behind her house.  It went straight up the mountain.  Yeah.  That’s not a “walk” to us chubby girls.  I thought my lungs were going to explode.  I’m going again next week {because I just love pain.}

So, I totally forgot about WIW this week so I weighed yesterday am and then forgot to post it.  Maybe I need a new brain..lol.  Here you go:

Chicken Soup

We have chickens and the darn rooster attacked me this morning! My leg is bleeding. It had never attacked anyone else before and of course it decided to get me first. I kicked the crap out of it and it kept rushing me. I finally took a stick to it so I could feed them all.  The thing comes up to my knee and weighs about 10lbs. I’m thinking we need some chicken soup this week. *insert evil laugh*

C25K D2 W2

I’m back up and running! Finished Day 2 of Week 2 yesterday.  I’m going to be running a 5k in April.  A friend of mine goes to Weight Watchers and her group is hosting a run.  I’m also signing up for a 5K in May over in Claremont, CA.

Question, what if I want to run every day instead of just the three days a week the couch to 5K program suggests? Is that ok?

Struggling...

Ack..I am struggling to get back into working out after being sick.  I feel like all the work I put into it last month was wasted…I’m scared that I won’t want to run again.  I did go hiking for an hour and a half today and had a great time, though.  I don’t want to stay the same old fat me but I’m afraid that I’m not going to get out of it.  I’ve also been snacking on stuff I shouldn’t like cookies and cupcakes.  I’m slipping back into my old habbits….HELP!

Shooting Babies and the Like

Happy Monday all you Tumblr Peeps!  I hope your weekend was truly amazing and filled with yummy healthy food and exercise. Me? I walked three miles and had shrimp and lil’ smokies. Yum! I’m feeling much better today and am ready to put working out back in my schedule.  I am shooting a newborn {photographing..lol} this morning and then it’s C25K in the afternoon.  I’m going to be bringing my homeschooler, Cakes, with me to get her PE in as well.  I’m hoping that said newborn will stay asleep for his session and it’ll be an easy morning.  We’ll see. 

I’m really trying to get re-motivated after my sickness.  I started falling back into some old habits of snacking and not writing everything down that I eat.  I also was doing some mind games like “Working out is soo hard.  You’re not going to be able to get back into it.” Isn’t it sad the lies we tell ourselves? My kids’ memory verse for today is “I can do all things through him who strengthens me.” Philippians 4:6 and it’s a good one for me to remember.  I can workout because I am strong!  I will NOT give up!

Go get ‘em fitblrs! We’ve got this Monday thing concurred!
